Special Eclipse Tricks just for you!
Let's talk about Conflicts this month! (coming soon - Rome wasn't built in a day, you know.)
VOX users:  Dragon tips just for you!
Always use a USB microphone when doing speech recognition.  I recommend the Andrea USB pod.

There are three very important steps to good results:
  1)  GENERAL TRAINING:   You don't have to overtrain your voice.   Usually, one five-minute and one medium-length session in Dragon is enough to get started.  The Dragon folks seem to favor doing the general training first, work in Dragon a little and see how your recognition is going, and then do a second training of medium length.
  2) CORRECTIONS:  Making corrections regularly helps Dragon understand the sound patterns you use in your language. Remember that old saying "Garbage in, garbage out"?  When feeding Dragon utterances that you can barely understand yourself,  you will get "garbage out"  the next time you work on a job and your recognition will erode .So be sure and use every opportunity to apply good corrections.  Hard work now makes for easier work later.
  3) ANALYZE YOUR DOCUMENTS:  After you finish your jobs, you will need to turn them into raw text files and feed them back to Dragon os it gets information on the type of work you are doing and the vocabulary it needs to use.  Always make sure you run a spell check first so you don't put "garbage" into Dragon.  Analyze documents is a very important step in getting Dragon to cooperate and make you look good on a depo.

CAYENNE ROUX'S TECH "TAILS" - 1
This is something new I learned from Melissa S. at the TCRA training in Goodlettsville.   If you want to make a new folder on your  Desktop, you can right click the screen and press "New" and make a folder and name it; but what I learned was you could also open Notepad easily by clicking  "Text File" in that same column.  Check out the surprises there for yourself.  (Remember that  you can also do a right-click by pressing SHIFT and the
F10 button.)
